“Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible.”

One shoulder, obi belt dress from JC Penney featured in Women's Health

Decided to add a day for posting about things I covet, but do not have.  Considering giving it a nifty title like “Saturday WANT Adds”, but I’m still thinking about it.  Not all of them will be things I actually intend to get, some of them are just dream items that help me visualize who I could be.

Today’s dress is what sparked this decision & is a great example of that.  It’s beautiful, but where would I wear it?  Sure, I could wear it while I work on my blog.  Wouldn’t I look spiffy eating a salad in McDonald’s while making notes & doing research?  Because everybody gets dressed up to go to McDonald’s!

I saw it in a Women’s Health article on replacements for your LBD & fell in love.  They credited it to JC Penney’s, but I couldn’t find it on their site.  I did find a patterned version of it, but I don’t like it at all.  Maybe it’s the dry husk they have modeling it.  Who knows.  But I love the wine color solid they used in the article.

It’s only $40 & the style is totally up my alley.  I love simple & elegant, & the red family.  Sadly, not only do I have no where to wear it, but it only comes up to a size 16, or at least the patterned version on the site does.  Still fun to imagine my sexy self out at a party in it with a killer pair of heels…

  1. Thanks for checking out my blog! I still find it amazing how much I have in common with other people out there in the blogosphere. I have PCOS as well, and it has been a big pain in my rear getting in the way of my weight-loss goals. Good luck to you!
