Found this & had to share. This is exactly how I feel about running. It is a great time to think things over. I feel so much stronger & more capable, even when anxiety provoking thoughts enter they are far easier to push out. There’s also the confidence that comes from connecting with your body when so often, especially as women, we are sent negative messages about the wrongness of our bodies, no matter what size or condition they are. Being able to connect with & learn to appreciate your body for what it can do rather than how it looks is amazing. I wish everyone could experience that for themselves. Physical activity, whatever you enjoy doing, is some of the best medicine for good mental health.
