I’ve been using LK for a few months now. I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned it, but now they have a membership drive going on & if I get three more people to sign up through my link I win a t-shirt 😀 It’s a social site for active living where you earn points for what you do. Everyone gets a daily allotment of points, & for every 10pts you award to others you get 5pts back, plus all the points others award you. The social set-up is like a cross between Facebook & Twitter. You post, comment, & like (“high-five”) like fb, but you can tag & follow tags like Twitter. The people are nice & it’s a fun community. It’s based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee, so I like that they are close to home. It’s fun to be involved with an online community I can actually be a part of during their offline activities.

Let me just say I’ve been pretty much useless this week. I haven’t been able to get out of the house all week & so I’ve sat around working on this blog, setting up a Twitter, & generally farting around online. I did manage to get in three days of exercise though, & I tracked every day faithfully. I went over points on three days, but still ended the week with plenty of weekly points left & never had to touch my activity points. I’m claiming that as a success! Continue reading →
